US is not ready to fund the major efforts required for cooling the earth as it views that it is not sole owner of the earth. There are countries like China and India which need to invest great amount of money into cutting the production of green-house gasses. It is expected that these countries will invest huge amounts till 2030. In recent development at UN, the major countries were not in agreement over the timeframe and investment over the pollution control. Asian countries are major contributors to global warming and its causes. These countries do not want to hurt their economic growth because new rules will put many companies under scanner to cut the fuel consumption and emission of gasses from manufacturing units. The track records of these countries have been very poor in dealing with the pollution control. However, US remain the major polluting country when it is looked from the angle of population versus production of carbon dioxide and other harmful gasses. If a timely action is taken some of the human activity related gasses can be cut and major global warming can be averted.
