Samsung has taken a ride again on the popular wave of green movement. Samsung has launched Reclaim SPH-M560 which is supposed to be the fully recyclable phone. It has been made from recycled plastic and even its packaging is also from the recyclable material. Phone has green look from outside and is supposed to sell among the green enthusiasts. There is another phone from Motorola. Motorola’s Renew W233 is the new venture from Motorola but its not very much successful as Samsung’s mobile phone. The new phones still remain to be tested for energy efficiency. Making a green phone is one thing but being it energy efficient is another. If these new phones have older batteries and still take longer time to recharge, it would mean that there are still improvement areas. Lithium batteries are major cause of concerns because these products are not bio-degradable. The mobile companies need to find the solution for making a phone more durable and be on the right side. Marketing campaigns do not tell the complete truth, it is always customers and activists who discover the hidden issues with the so-called green products.
